Who We Are

Powhatan County Ride Assist Services is a service that meets one of Powhatan's greatest needs. Free medical transportation may be provided for eligible seniors.  Through this service, seniors can continue to thrive in the community.  Ride Assist Services provides volunteer transportation to Powhatan County, VA ambulatory seniors, age 60 and over who are unable to drive themselves

Wheelchair transportation may be possible. Please call for details.

Ride Assist Services is a community agency that advocates for independent-living seniors in Powhatan County. Transportation may also be requested for community errands such as grocery shopping,  or visits to the bank or pharmacy. 

Volunteer drivers are always needed.

Intake Process
Call the office to register as a rider in the program. After you have registered, you can schedule a ride. Please give as much notice as possible.
