Four County Transit

Four County Transit, part of Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens (AASC), operates a public bus service with deviated fixed routes throughout the four-county service area of Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell, and Tazewell counties. Anyone of any age can ride the vans. Specific route schedules and fares can also be found on the website. 

In some instances, the route can vary to pick up someone with a special need at their home when it is close to the scheduled route. 

Town route fare is 25 cents per boarding. Work express fare is 50 cents per boarding.  College routes are public routes and open to anyone who wants to ride. The fare for public riders is $1.00 per boarding.  Riders must have exact change. The driver cannot make any change.

College route fare is FREE for college students and staff or faculty who present college identification, seniors at least 60 years old, and children five or younger who are accompanied by an adult.
