Who We Are
Northwestern Community Services offers respite care to families of children and adults with a primary diagnosis of developmental or intellectual disabilities. Temporary care is provided in the home for someone with developmental or intellectual disabilities needing assistance with activities of daily living. This allows a break for the usual care provider.
Respite care is usually provided on an hourly basis. Whole-day and overnight respite are available when providers are available. Respite care is limited to 40 hours per quarter.
