Who We Are

Peninsula Agency on Aging’s transportation program uses wheelchair-accessible vans and community volunteers to transport senior citizens, aged 60 and older, to non-emergency medical appointments. The program is available to non-driving seniors who have no access to public transportation, cannot afford private transportation, or are not eligible for Medicaid transportation.

Transportation is available for non-emergency medical appointments, adult day care centers, and Penninsula Agency on Aging-sponsored activities.

Service is provided in the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, James City County, Poquoson, and York County.

For the Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, or York County areas, call (757) 873-0541. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

For the Williamsburg and James City County area RIDES Program, call (757) 345-6166. Office hours are Monday through Friday from, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Other Eligibility Criteria
