Cancer Information

The Halifax County Cancer Association is committed to fighting cancer with year round programs of service, education, and research. If you have a friend or relative who has been diagnosed with cancer or is being treated for cancer and would like more information on some services we offer, please call us at 434-476-2714. We're here to help and there is no charge for our services.

The FREE services provided to anyone diagnosed with cancer in Halifax County are as follows:  Educational and informative materials and programs year round, referral services, assistance with pain and nausea medications and cancer related medications, gas vouchers for traveling to and from doctors, cancer related supplies, funds set aside to assist woman with bras and prosthesis, in home care, turbans and wigs, loan of hospital equipment, help with medical bills, and in home care.
