Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers do the work at the recycling center. Many of volunteers are from local Lions Clubs, churches, CrossLink International, LEO Clubs, various organizations and individuals that have an interest in recycling eyeglasses. All groups and individuals are welcome. Day, evening and Saturday hours can be arranged to accommodate adults or youth groups who want to volunteer. The Center is housed in basement portion of Lions Sight Foundation.



The used eyeglasses are washed and sterilized, and prescription determined with lensometer. The eyeglasses are then prepared for distribution to organizations that distribute the glasses free to needy people.
