Physicians repair broken bones and shoulder and rotator cuffs; correct sports injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome; repair broken hips and more. High-tech fiber optics are used routinely. Orthopedic staff provides knee and hip replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery.

Emergency Orthopedic Services are handled at Lynchburg General Hospital through the Emergency Department. Patients from other hospitals which are not equipped to handle orthopedic emergencies and also handled at Lynchburg General Hospital.
