Who We Are
Lewis-Gale Regional Cancer Center Salem offers innovative and advanced cancer therapies. With new state-of-the-art facility, the center's physicians can provide a full array of surgical, medical, and radiation treatment therapies. And, because the center's clinicians and physicians work closely with research scientists, new drugs and treatments are quickly transferred to the clinical setting, offering patients improved therapeutic options.
The staff at the Center believe there are several key elements to dealing with cancer:
- Prevention through education
- Early detection through screenings
- A team-oriented approach to comprehensive, individualized treatment; the whole person is treated--body, mind, and spirit.
Cancers treated include: bladder; brain, head and neck, breast, colorectal, gynecologic, kidney, leukemia and blood-related cancers, lung and chest, lymphoma, pancreatic and liver, prostate and genitourinary, skin including melanoma, and thyroid.
The LewisGale Regional Cancer Center has been accredited by the American College of Surgeons-Commission on Cancer (ACoS-COC).
