Who We Are
Virginia Housing helps Virginians obtain safe, sound and decent housing otherwise not affordable to them. It provides low- to moderate-income first-time homebuyers with low-cost home mortgage loans. We also manage federal programs such as Section 8 Housing. The programs serve the Commonwealth of Virginia. Off-street parking is provided and the program is accessible by bus and internally and externally accessible for the handicapped.
Virginia Housing also offers a Free Homebuyer Class. In one day of training, you will learn the entire homebuying process from start to finish, and how to stay on track as a responsible homeowner. The class is offered in English or Spanish, in person or online. It is free, with no obligation. Both in-person and online classes are available, however, some loan programs require classroom training. To find a class near you or view the online course, view the website.
