Super Senior Taxi

Super Senior Taxi (SST) is a taxi cab transportation program, subsidized by Arlington County, for Arlington residents 70 years of age and older. Wheelchair accessible taxis are available.



Qualification for SST is done by submission of a written application to this office and information about tickets for the taxis is also provided. The application is available for download on the website.



The program allows older adults to purchase a 20 dollar book of taxi coupons for 10 dollars. The total number of coupon book in this program is limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.  Participants may purchase up to 20 coupon books throughout the fiscal year, as long as the books are available. The fiscal year is from July1 through June 30.  

Taxicab companies serving Arlington have wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Passengers are encouraged to call ahead whenever possible; cabs may be requested in advance. The fare is set at the meter rate. Call the individual cab company for information or to arrange for service.
