Who We Are

Peninsula Agency on Aging’s (PAA) transportation program uses wheelchair-accessible vans and community volunteers to transport senior citizens, aged 60 and older, as well as adults with disabilities to non-emergency medical appointments. The program is available to non-driving seniors and adults with disabilities who have no access to public transportation, cannot afford private transportation, or are not eligible for Medicaid transportation.

Transportation is available for non-emergency medical appointments, adult daycare centers, and PAA-sponsored activities.

For service in Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, or York County, please call (757) 873-0541 - office hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

PAA is a provider of last resort. If other public transportation can be used, the individual must use that service. There is no charge for eligible individuals for PAA transportation services. Contributions are requested.
