Hotline and Crisis Intervention for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Victims

The Crisis Hotline, 540-639-1123, at the Women's Resource Center of the New River Valley is available 24-hours a day with trained crisis intervention staff and volunteers answering all calls. If that number is not in your calling area, use the regional toll-free hotline at 800-788-1123. Translators are available via AT&T Language Lines for non-English speaking callers. In addition, a TTY machine is available for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals at 540-639-2197.



The Secular Society Emergency Response Coordinator provides emergency advocacy response to victims of sexual and domestic violence at local hospitals and provides crisis intervention to those accessing the services through the hotline.



Assistance is available to anyone who has experienced any type of sexual violence including rape, attempted rape, molestation, child sexual abuse, sexual harassment, stalking and relationship violence.
