The Virginia Cooperative Extension Offices in Floyd, Giles, Montgomery and Pulaski Counties, are partnering with the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers to provide the Dealing with Dementia (DWD) program.
Dealing with Dementia (DWD) is a four-hour workshop, paired with the comprehensive Dealing with Dementia guide, a detailed workbook designed to help you navigate the unique challenges of caring for someone with dementia. Learn how to better understand dementia, manage problem behaviors, manage stress, and find more time for yourself.
DWD will be held from 9am until 2pm at each location. This is a free program, but pre-registration is required. Will be presenting a review of the Dealing with Dementia guidebook. A light lunch will also be provided.
The workshop will held in:
- Giles County on May 6th
- Pulaski County on May 9th
- Montgomery County May 10th
- Floyd County on May 13th
