Sentara Martha Jefferson Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital's Cancer Center focuses on breast health, education, screening, and diagnostic mammography and ultrasound. The Center offers free breast self-examination clinics and free breast cancer screenings throughout the year. The education programs focus on lifestyle issues that promote good health and can help in the reduction of risk factors for cancer and other diseases.

Midlife Women's Services provides screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, breast biopsy and ductoscopy. A Breast Health Liaison is an oncology certified RN who will consult, educate and guide patients through the healthcare system and facilitate communication between providers. The Breast Health Liaison is available to assist with information, support and referral, if necessary.

Referral information and brief health questions are no charge. Health consults and coaching are available on hourly or for brief short-term psychotherapy.
