Who We Are

Alexandria Area Agency on Aging provides assistance in protecting aged, infirm or disabled adults from abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation. Provides intervention for persons over the age of 18 who are at risk of abuse, neglect or exploitation.

If you suspect an adult cannot take care of him/herself, or is being abused, exploited or neglected, call 703-746-5778. A social worker will respond during regular business hours Monday thru Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. For after hours call 888-832-3858.

Accepts referrals from family, professionals and concerned citizens. If you believe the situation is an emergency, call 911.

{Languages: Czech, Farsi, German, Spanish. Call ahead or bring interpreter. American Sign Language volunteers available.}

We use bilingual staff within Alexandria Department of Human Services.
