Senior Medicare Patrol, Medicare Fraud Information

The Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) is a program whose mission is to empower seniors, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect and report healthcare errors, fraud, and abuse through outreach, education, and counseling.  Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging, partners with the SMP to recruit and train volunteers to provide public presentations and individual counseling to raise awareness of potential Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse. Volunteers also instruct and assist seniors in reporting these.
