Job training and community service employment opportunities are available for people age 55 and older with limited incomes.
District Three maintains a registry of mature, qualified workers who are pre-screened and ready to work. Some senior citizens are employed through the Senior Community Employment Service Program. Others are employed through the Older Workers Program included under the Job Training Partnership Act which provides assessment, classroom training, on-the-job training, and assistance in the job search.
