Event Description

For the Virginians who do not have dental insurance and are without access to affordable dental care (low income, under insured, disabled or seniors) Mission of Mercy (MOM) was created by Dr. Terry Dickinson, former executive director of the Virginia Dental Association, to provide quality dental care for under served Virginians. The MOM project operates in strategic locations across Virginia, providing preventive, restorative and surgical dental treatments. On Friday, July 10th and Saturday, July 11th 2020, MOM project will be in Southwest Virginia. Registration is required. At this two day dental clinic conducted each year in July, adults and children will be seen for free dental care on a first-come first-serve basis for their most immediate dental need (i.e a cleaning, OR a filling, OR most all extractions needed). Please come prepared to wait in long lines. Pre-registration for the first 200 patients will be held on Thursday, July 9 at the UVA Wise Convocation Center. Doors will open for pre-registration at 12noon. There is no overnight parking at UVA Wise. Parking will open at 4am Friday and Saturday. Clinic hours are 7am – 5pm Friday and Saturday. Pre-registration for the first 200 patients will be held on Thursday, July 9 at the UVA Wise Convocation Center. Doors will open for pre-registration at 12noon. To learn more, visit www.vdaf.org.
